West Virginia Man Blows Wife Away With Shotgun Because She ‘Pushed Him to the Limit’

A West Virginia man called 911 early Saturday morning and told dispatcher he’d just shot his wife to death.

Jason Joe Phillips, 46, has been charged with first degree murder in the death of 46-year-old Joanna Lynn Phillips at their home in Sissonville, the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said.

Phillips told police he murdered his wife with his shotgun because she “pushed him to the limit,” WSAZ reported.

“We hate to hear when anyone falls victim to domestic violence especially when it gets to the point that it involves death,” said Sgt. Jeremy Burns.

Phillips is being held at the South Central Regional Jail without bond. WCHS reported.
