The search continues for a 16-year-old Indiana boy who vanished last week.
A Silver Alert is still active for Robert “RJ” Williams Jr., who was last seen on December 17 in Indianapolis. WRTV reported that a day after Williams’ disappearance, detectives discovered his gym bag and backpack on a dock near the White River.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police have released images of Williams with his face partially covered. Police, along with the Indianapolis Fire Department and the Department of Natural Resources, conducted drone, ground, sonar, and water searches this past weekend, but it turned up no sign of the missing teen.
Williams was reported missing after he failed to come home from Purdue Polytechnic High School. He was believed to have gone to McDonald’s before vanishing.
“I’m praying that he is not found in the water and that he’s still out here somewhere and we just need to find him and bring him home,” a relative told WRTV.
Williams is reportedly autistic and has a mild intellectual disability. It was also said that Williams has the mentality of a 10- or 11-year-old, and that he has a history of psychosis and disruptive mood dysregulation disorder.
Williams was described as standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds, and having black hair with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray coat, blue sweat pants, and black tennis shoes.
Anyone with information regarding Williams’ whereabouts should call the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department at 317-327-6541 or call 911.
