A Colorado high school kitchen employee has been arrested on charges that include incest and sexual assault on a child.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said that it had received a tip that John Michael Beccia Jr. may have been in possession of chid pornography. The subsequent investigation led to more charges.
Beccia, 35, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with aggravated incest, sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust, and sexual exploitation of a child.
He had been working as an assistant kitchen manager at Mountain Vista High School since November, the sheriff’s office said. He was placed on administrative leave and later fired.
The sheriff’s office did not provide details about the charges but did say that no Mountain Vista students had been identified as victims, although the investigation is ongoing.
