Georgia Cops Look for Man Who Dropped Dead Woman Off at Hospital and Fled

Police in eastern Georgia are searching for a man they say dropped a dead woman off at an Augusta hospital and then fled the scene.

Investigators say they used fingerprints to identify the dead woman as 41-year-old Selena Johnson, WRDW reported.

A nurse said they helped the man bring the woman into the hospital emergency room on Monday, taking the woman from the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Johnson was unconscious and not breathing, the nurse said.

After they brought her into the hospital, the man jumped back in the vehicle and fled the scene.

He was later identified as 47-year-old Michael Lee Harrelson, although the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office did not say how they identified him.

The sheriff’s office said he was “wanted for questioning” and described him as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 153 pounds, bald, with brown eyes. He has warrants out on an unrelated case.

They asked anyone with information to contact them at 706-821-1020 or 706-821-1080.
