DEVELOPING: Cops Confirm Blood Found on Nancy Guthrie’s Front Steps Was Hers

On Thursday, Arizona police held a press conference regarding the ongoing disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother.

Authorities believe Nancy Guthrie, 84, was abducted from her Tucson home, noting her limited mobility. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said they believe she “is still out there” and that they are following up on leads with the assistance of the FBI.

Police also confirmed that blood found on Nancy Guthrie’s front steps was hers. Despite this, Nanos said that they have not identified or located any suspects or persons of interest in this case.

Nanos also provided a timeline during Thursday’s press conference. Nancy Guthrie was dropped off on Saturday night, hours before her home security camera disconnected. According to police, the software detected someone on camera roughly 30 minutes later — but the footage is unavailable as it is on a loop.

Nanos said there is no indication the home camera was destroyed.

Additionally, sources told The New York Post about evidence — specifically blood and signs of forced entry– which suggested foul play is involved in Nancy Guthrie’s ongoing disappearance. They also noted that her life-saving medication was left behind, further suggesting this case is an abduction. However, Nanos said on Thursday that he has “no clue” where the information about forced entry came from.

The FBI said a $50,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to Nancy Guthrie.
