Nancy Guthrie’s Abduction Discovered After She Missed Virtual Church Services: Source

Nancy Guthrie was discovered missing from her Arizona home last week after she did not meet with a friend for a regular meeting, according to reports.

An unidentified source who is close to the Guthrie family told NBC that alarms were raised on Sunday, February 1, when the 84-year-old did not appear at her friend’s home to watch virtual church services. The source said Guthrie regularly met with friends to watch the online services together.

The source also revealed to NBC News that one of the friends ultimately called her daughter, Annie Guthrie.

Pima County police believe Nancy Guthrie’s last known sighting was at her Tucson home the night before, on Saturday, January 31.

No suspects have been identified in Nancy Guthrie’s suspected abduction, though authorities are investigating two ransom notes that were reportedly sent to local news outlets.
