1 ‘Small Child’ Dead, Another Hospitalized; Person of Interest Identified

Police in North Carolina re investigating the death of a small child in Durham as a homicide.

Durham police officers were called to the scene late Thursday afternoon and found two “unresponsive small children,” WNCN reports. They were both taken to a hospital, where one of them was pronounced dead.

The condition of the other child was not revealed.

Police said they had identified a person of interest but did not say if that person was in custody.
