Bloody Man Caught Dragging Murdered Wife’s ‘Unrecognizable’ Body in Garage

A Kentucky man is facing murder charges for allegedly killing his wife last week.

On Friday, Mount Washington police responded to a home where a woman’s bloody body was found lying on the garage floor. Officers observed Richard Chesher, 67, who was also covered in blood and was trying to close the garage door upon their arrival, according to WAVE.

Chesher was arrested without incident. The body was identified as Chesher’s wife — who police described as being beaten so badly she was “unrecognizable.” Her body was wrapped in a garage hose, which police believe Chesher used to drag her from inside the home to the garage, the Courier Journal reported.

Police also suspect Chesher was trying to put his wife’s body in a truck, which was backed into the garage and had a makeshift ramp. They allegedly also discovered a makeshift ramp which was arranged from the floor to his truck bed.

Authorities reportedly found a trail of blood leading from inside the house to the garage, as well as a large piece of wood that may have had blood on it.

Chesher was charged with murder with domestic violence, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. His bond was set at $1 million.
