On Wednesday, a Florida judge denied bond to two girls accused of trying to kill a classmate.
Isabelle Valdez, 15, allegedly recruited Lois Lippert, 14, to kill a Lake Brantley High student and drink his blood due to his resemblance to Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter Adam Lanza. WFTV reported that the pair was also filmed in the back of a police cruiser, laughing while being taken to jail.
“This is such a bonding experience. I love this,” Lippert laughed.
Valdez was reportedly recorded saying she planned to wear makeup for the mugshot, but she “couldn’t find anything.” They were also heard celebrating upon learning they were going to the same jail.
Valdez and Lippert were arrested after a classmate alerted authorities about their alleged murder scheme. According to WESH, the girls’ plot entailed bringing a knife to the high school, in addition to cigarettes, candy, and flowers. They reportedly also planned to slit the victim’s throat in a bathroom before drinking his blood.
Lippert and Valdez pleaded not guilty to attempted murder charges. While Lippert’s parents told the court that they could supervise their daughter at home, the judge concluded the girls posed a danger to the public, as evidenced by the police cruiser footage.
The teens are due back in court on April 29.
