Drunk Dad Crashes Motorcycle With Toddler on Board

An Alabama man has been arrested after he allegedly crashed his motorcycle with his 18-month-old child on board, leaving the toddler with serious injuries to the head and face.

Court documents say that Aaron Lee Roberson, 32, was drunk and speeding on February 14 when he crashed the bike, WVTM reports. Neither he nor the toddler were wearing helmets, and Roberson left the scene of the crash without calling 911 to report the incident.

According to court records, he did not render “reasonable assistance” to the toddler.

Roberson has been charged with assault, leaving the scene of an accident with injury, reckless endangerment, and reckless driving.

He was given a $37,000 bond and is not currently listed in Blount County jail records.

All media reprinted a statement they got from police and did not say how police learned of the accident or what the current condition of the child is. They also did not say how they knew Roberson was drunk or speeding, since he wasn’t charged with either of those offenses.
