A Missouri couple was arrested last week for various sex crimes involving their 2-year-old daughter.
Amber Sinkler, 31, was allegedly aware that her husband, Joshua Sinkler, 36, had been sexually abusing their daughter for two years. She also told St. Louis County police that she “wouldn’t be surprised” if her husband had assaulted an 11-year-old girl who lived in their neighborhood, according to KMOV.
The Daily Mail reported that Amber Sinkler had a YouTube channel in which she portrayed herself as the quintessential Christian wife and mother. However, officials zeroed in on videos that allegedly showed her husband sexually abusing their toddler daughter as she cried and held onto a stuffed animal.
Police charged that Amber Sinkler was not only aware of what was going on, but she was in the same bed as the abuse transpired. The Daily Mail reported that she never reported her husband’s crimes to authorities.
Amber Sinkler allegedly also revealed to cops that her husband would abuse cocaine and “become very sexual with the child.” The drug was reportedly found in the family’s trailer.
According to KSDK, police are investigating two trailer parks and a movie theater parking lot as they believe there are more victims in this case.
Joshua Sinkler is charged with child molestation, statutory rape or attempted statutory rape, sexual exploitation of a minor, possession of child pornography, endangering the welfare of a child, and incest. Amber Sinkler is charged with child endangerment and possession of child pornography charges. They remain jailed on a $500,000 bond.
