And angry Florida woman jumped out of her car to assault a pregnant woman on a busy Orlando street last month, then attacked an elderly woman who tried to assist and bit a cop who was trying to arrest her.
Mandolyn Shaffer-Brockwell was eventually arrested after the February 23 incident, Orlando Police said. They released video showing Shaffer-Brockwell getting out of her car, jumping onto the hood of a victim’s car, then opening the car door and attacking the driver.
Further video shows her attacking the elderly victim and then violently resisting arrest by police.
Police seemed to indict the first part of the video showed the attack on the elderly victim’s car, but court documents said that was the attack on the pregnant woman, WOFL reports.
The woman told police that Shaffer-Brockwell, driving a white Kia, kept stopping her vehicle in front of her. She said she honked then changed lanes in an attempt to get away from her. Shaffer-Brockwell then abruptly cut across two lanes of traffic, stopped her car “and jumpted on the hood” of the victim’s car, the report said.
“Honk at me again, (expletive),” the suspect reportedly said.
A 68-year-old woman stopped nearby saw what was going on, the report says, and got out to help. Shaffer-Brockwell told her to “Get back in your f****** car” and scratched and hit her face. That attack was captured by a witness’s video.
Body camera footage captures the chaotic arrest including the apparent bite of the police officer.
Shaffer-Brockwell, 37, was charged with battery on a person 65 or old, aggravated battery on a police officers, burglary of a conveyance with assault/battery, and resisting an officer with violence.
Jail records show she was given $21,000 bonds on three of the charges but no bond on the burglary with assault/battery charge. She is due on court on March 30.
