Maine Toddler’s Christmas Day Death Ruled a Homicide

The death of a 3-year-old girl in Maine has been ruled a homicide.

Maine State Police identified the toddler as Makinzlee Handrahan and said the office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the girl was killed, The Lincoln County News reported.

Lincoln County deputies were called to the little girl’s home in Edgecomb shortly after 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning, CrimeOnline reported earlier. The girl was reportedly not breathing and was taken to LincolnHeath’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta, where she was pronounced dead.

Investigators have not revealed how the little girl died or released any other details.

Neighbors who spoke with WMTW told the station that “Everyone is traumatized.”
