Arizona Mom Extradited From Georgia to Face Charges Related to Death of 10-Year-Old Son

A mother living in Georgia for the past few years has been extradited to Arizona to face charges related to the disappearance and death of her 10-year-old son in 2016.

Crystal Wilson, 54, was arrested in December and charged with abandoning or concealing the body of Jesse Wilson, whose skeletonized remains were found two years after his mother reported him missing in the Arizona town of Buckeye, as CrimeOnline previously reported.

The remains were found in an area about six miles from his home that had been flooded when investigators were searching for him. An autopsy was unable to determine how he died.

In December — when Wilson was arrested in Georgia — police in Arizona said they believed Wilson “knows what happened” and “is not telling us.” They said a homicide investigation is still active.

Wilson told police that Jesse ran away in July 2016 after she put him to bed, KNXV reported. Crystal Wilson herself disappeared about a month after reporting her son, who was adopted, missing. She turned back up after his remains were found.
