Georgia Mom Texted Photos of Husband to Hitman With Message ‘Kill Him’

A former college cheerleader and beauty pageant contenstant charged with masterminding a plot to kill her former football star husband reportedly confessed to sending a hit man photos of her husband with the message “Kill him.”

British tabloid The Daily Mail claims to have exclusively seen documents detailing Lindsay Shiver’s confession, in which she reportedly told Bahamian investigators — who uncovered the plot — that she sent the messages to 29-year-old Faron Newbold, the man she and her 28-year-old lover Terrance Adrien Bethel enlisted to kill former Auburn University long snapper Robert Shiver, 38.

Lindsay Shiver, Bethel, and Newbold were arrested last month in the Bahamas, where she was visiting Bethel. Investigators there uncovered the plot while investigating a bar break-in on July 16 when they came upon WhatsApp messages discussing the plans, as CrimeOnline previously reported.

Bethel was one of the employees of the bar, the Daily Mail said, and he handed over his phone when police asked.

Robert Shiver, who was briefly on the roster of the NFL Atlanta Falcons football team before beginning a very successful business career, filed for divorce in April after learning about his wife’s affair. He is seeking sole custody of the couple’s three children and exclusive use of their $2.5 million, 8,000-square-foot house in Thomasville, Georgia, their primary residence.

Lindsay Shiver’s court filings accuse her husband of abuse and manipulation and also seek custody of the children and use of the house.

The couple has been married for 13 years. They met while both were at Auburn.

Robert Shiver is said to be back in Thomasville with the children. He was in the Bahamas when his wife was arrested, although they are separated and were not together. He was at property his family owns there with the children.

The Daily Mail said that Newbold and Bethel have been released on $20,000 bail, but Lindsay Shiver remains behind bars on a $100,000 bail. If she does make bail, she will be required to stay in the Bahamas.

The Daily Mail said that Newbold is an aspiring musician and son of a local politician who works as an engineer for a power company.

Robert Shiver is the son of Allen Shiver, who was the CEO Flowers Foods for more than 40 years before stepping down in 2019. Robert is currently an executive vice president for Senior Life Insurance Company.
