Oklahoma Penitentiary Chaplain Charged with Child Sex Crimes

An Oklahoma pastor has been arrested for possessing child porn and violating state computer crimes laws.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation found child sex abuse material at 40-year-old David Prince’s home in McAlester after following up on a tip from the Oklahoma Counter Terrorism Intelligence Center.

The bureau’s investigation found Prince involved in sexually explicit chats online. He was chargd with possession of child porn and violating the state’s computer crimes act.

The state agency described Prince as a “chaplain and associate pastor” but did not say where he worked. His LinkedIn account, however, says that he is a chaplain at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester and an apartment maintenance man.

The account says he graduated from Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City in 2005. The school is currently associated with the Southwest Baptist Church in the same city.

On his Facebook page, Prince poses with his wife and four children, beneath a cover photo proclaiming “proud to be an American.”

The McAlester News-Capital said the Prince was being held without bond.
