Taylor Swift’s Accused Stalker Returns to Her Apartment 2 Hours After Release From Jail

A man arrested twice in the last three days for stalking pop star Taylor Swift was arrested again in Wednesday, less than two hours after a judge released him on supervised release.

In court before his release on Wednesday, prosecutors told the judge David Crowe, 33, had staked out Swift’s Tribeca apartment 30 times over the last two months, WNBC reported.

Crowe was first arrested Saturday afternoon after he tried to get into Swift’s building, as CrimeOnline reported. But he was released without charges at the time.

He was arrested again on Monday night on stalking and harassment charges. Prosecutors requested the highest level of supervised release possible at his arraignment on Wednesday. The judge granted an order of protection for Swift, but that didn’t deter Crowe from returning the singer’s neighborhood.

A criminal complaint filed in court this week says that Crowe was at Swift’s home 30 times between November 25 and January 22. Neighbors say they’ve seen him multiple times, and the building’s custodian had warned him to stay away 10 times.

“He constantly states he is there to see Taylor Swift,” Assistant District Attorney Harriet Jiranek said in court, The New York Post said. “He has said this to neighbors and asked where she is.”

This time, neighbors said, he was snooping in a dumpster across the street from Swift’s apartment.

Crowe was charged this time with violating the freshly minted protection order, according to WNBC, and he is due back in court on March 12.
